A Day at Little Red Schoolhouse

We had a great day at The Little Red Schoolhouse Art Fair yesterday. There was a pretty good crowd considering the weather. A big thanks to all of the Palos volunteers who came out to help set up, take down, and talk to the curious who came into our booth. We got quite a few new names for our Palos Weekly. We also passed out schedules and we left some in the new Education Center, and if you haven't seen that yet it is worth a trip to visit and spend some time enjoying and learning.

Welcome to Palos Blog

Welcome to our blog page where we will have workday reports, pictures and some other surprises. We will post a link on our weekly emails so click on that to get here for updates. We will also welcome information and photos from our volunteers that can be posted here. We still have to learn how this will all work but I have had this bouncing around in my head for a few months and decided to act on it today.
For those curious about PRP but not a volunteer, we volunteer in the Cook County Forest Preserve District, in the 17,000 acres of the Palos Division, just southwest of Chicago, Illinois. We we work cooperatively with FPD employees cutting brush, pulling weeds, collecting seed, and helping on controlled burns. We will be celebrating our 20th year of doing this work next year.
